Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TriniChat (trinichatapp.com) stores when you use it, why, and for how long. In short: we store what is needed to deliver your chats, files are deleted automatically, and there are no ads or tracking cookies.

What we store

• Your profile: the nickname or display name you choose and an optional “about” line. If you create an account, we also store your username and your password in hashed form; we never store the password itself.
• Your messages: the text you send, and when each message was delivered and seen.
• Your files: photos, videos, documents and voice notes you share.
• Activity: when you were last online, so the people you chat with can see “last seen”.

We do not ask for your phone number, email address or real name.

Who can see your messages

Your messages and files can be seen by the person you are chatting with. TriniChat administrators can also view conversations, including messages, photos, files and voice notes, to investigate abuse and keep the community safe. When an administrator views a chat, nothing is marked as seen and the people chatting are not notified.

How long we keep things

• Files and voice notes are deleted automatically: after 7 days if shared anonymously, or after 30 days if shared from an account.
• Messages are kept until the sender deletes them or an administrator removes them. A deleted message is removed for both people.
• Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days without use.
• Anonymous chats are tied to your browser. If you log out or clear your browser data without creating an account, you will not be able to get back into them.

Cookies and local storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores small preferences on your device, such as your notification sound and recently used emoji. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. TriniChat runs on a hosting provider (Railway), which stores the service's data and may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses. We will disclose information only if required by law.

Your choices

• Delete any message you sent by long-pressing it (or right-clicking it on a computer) and choosing Delete for everyone.
• Change your display name and “about” line in your profile at any time.
• To have your account and its messages deleted, contact contact@trinichatapp.com.
